ASUS presents its graphics ROG Matrix HD 7970

The Taiwanese manufacturer Asus shows at the stand of the Computex a heavy-handed in its Republic Of Gamers line, the Matrix HD 7970.

After the impressive March III, Asus exposes on its stand of the Computex in Taipei, a very high graphics from range of its ROG (Republic Of Gamers), the Matrix HD 7970 mark.

Integrating a GPU Tahiti AMD pushed to the extreme, it would be question of a frequency of 1200 Mhz or 20-25% more than that of reference. This large map occupying three slots do an imposing House heatpipe. It consists of a radiator solid aluminum crossed by several heat pipes and cooled by two fans 120 mm PWM.

Aimed at discerning and demanding users, the Matrix HD 7970 has a floor of food designed accordingly and proposes therefore 20 phases of power to allow a high overclocking. The card requires two connectors PCI-e 8-pin to feed energy, PCB is also home to control points of tension, a button to push fans at their maximum speed of rotation and two BIOS selectable by a switch to easily return to the default settings.

Compatible Eyefinity, the card offers via its six rear angle output video with two Dual-Link DVI ports and four outputs HDMI. Still in development, the Matrix HD 7970 ROG has for the time being no date of availability or tariff known.
